YEARS
With 10 years of local experience, YBE continues to provide consultancy services that transform building biology principles into practical, climate-responsive, and health-oriented design solutions.
ANALYSIS & REPORTING
Bioclimatic Building Analysis (BBA) and its accompanying report identify factors within existing buildings that may pose risks to human health and provide recommendations for improving indoor environmental quality.
The assessment evaluates three main categories of environmental factors using specialized measurement equipment and compares the results against internationally recognized reference values. Based on these findings, potential health-related impacts of the building are identified, followed by recommendations for the necessary renovations and architectural interventions to improve indoor conditions.
BUILDING REHABILITATION
Buildings typically undergo renovation every three years on average, while the interval is often even shorter in schools. Renovation is commonly required due to material deterioration, poor workmanship, or changing functional needs. However, these interventions are often carried out without a comprehensive assessment and therefore contribute neither to energy efficiency nor to healthier indoor environments.
Enhancing a building’s long-term value requires approaching renovation with both energy performance and human health in mind from the outset. Guided by this perspective, the process begins with a comprehensive assessment and on-site measurements, followed by targeted renovation strategies that deliver healthier, more energy-efficient, and sustainable buildings.
